Eid Al Adha and Hajj Crafts for Kids

Eid Al Adha and Hajj Crafts for Kids

We love paper plate crafts, they are such an easy and effective way to craft with kids.

This is a very easy 5 minute craft that's perfect for kids at 3 year’s old, or for younger toddlers too.

To make your Paper Plate Sheep you will need:

Paper Plate (we used pink)

Cotton wool

Pva glue and a spreader or paint brush

Paper and scissors

Black felt tip

2 Googly eyes

The craft will take about 5-20 minutes depending on the child

How to make your paper plate sheep

Spread glue all over the paper plate or you can use a plastic spreader. Gluing on the paper plate will be much easier than gluing the cotton wool pieces, and using a glue stick may not be strong enough so you will be better off with a liquid glue like PVA glue or school glue for this project.

Once the plate is covered, toddlers and preschoolers can easily stick their fluffy cotton wool pieces all over it. Cotton wool balls will work well, but if you have a roll and let them rip pieces off to stick that will also work fine. It’s lots of fun, and they will probably end up with sticky hands! Using the soft and fluffy cotton wool adds a fun sensory element to this craft, and gives the end result a fun textured look – just like a real sheep!

Make sure to leave some space in the middle for the sheep’s face!

To make the face, we drew a very simple face shape on paper with a black felt tip pen – a plain round oval shape face with two little ears. Cut this and stick it down into the centre of the paper plate. Depending on age and drawing and cutting skills your preschooler might be able to draw and cut their own, but a younger toddler will need help (presenting the shape to them pre cut can be easier).

Have fun!
